From the Front:
"I use my R22 on keyboards, electric guitars and bass. This compressor has a vibe all its own! The THRUST® feature is really cool, and the R22 fits perfectly into my workflow alongside my other
compressors that are three times as expensive. I use my 3124+ for recording drums, bass, electric guitar, acoustic instruments and vocals. No matter what I record with the 3124+ the result I get is always that classic API sound.
"I actually went to the API plant to pick up my R22. When I got there I met some of the friendliest folks I have ever met. I have to say, I was really impressed with the plant and the people who design and build API equipment. Here I was picking up one of their least expensive products and I felt I was being treated as if I were purchasing a Legacy console."
About Mike Hamilton: A self-dubbed "analog guy living in a digital world," Mike Hamilton has been writing, performing and recording music for the majority of his life. Hamilton's first real foray into the
recording side of the music business came in the 1970s while working with a live sound company. Years later, Hamilton built Mission Road Recording Studio to both produce and record his original music and to record local bands collectively, with all
members playing at the same time. According to Hamilton, "It's a lot more work, but to me and my clients, it's worth it."
