From the Front:
"In search of new colors for my mixes, I decided to browse online for some new EQs and compressors on various vendors' websites. I came across the JDK product line on Vintage King
and was intrigued to see how JDK, whom I was not acquainted with, was being sold amongst some of the top brands in the outboard gear market, and at an incredible price. After doing some research, I realized the JDK and API connection
and decided to purchase the R24 EQ and the R22 compressor.
"What a pleasant surprise! Upon connecting the two units to my DAW mixes, I was happy to see how I could model the frequencies of my guitars, drums, etc., very intuitively and without much effort. The warmth of
the R24 is unlike anything I have heard. For years I have been searching for that old vinyl record warmth that I finally discovered with this EQ. I have some other equalizers as well but the color of the R24 is great for mid-to-bass
frequencies; it is so lush.
"The R22 compressor is quite ballsy, too; it's a great value!"
About Blue Labyrinth:
Marcello De Francisci first began his career in the film scoring industry while completing an internship at Media Ventures where he worked alongside Hans Zimmer's group of composers, including Mark Mancina,
John Powell and Harry Gregson-Williams. Several years later, De Francisci started Blue Labyrinth Production Music, where he now produces music for all visual media including feature films, interactive games, motion picture trailers,
television and commercial promotions. In 2008, De Francisci began working with Golden Globe winner and renowned singer-composer Lisa Gerrard. The two composers have just finished the score to "Samsara," the anticipated
sequel to the film "Baraka."
